Christmas VS Consumerism

I think Consumerism is winning.

Today, two of my grandchildren went to the Mall to visit Santa Claus. They were very excited to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

The 10 year-old asked for a skateboard.

The 4 year-old asked for

A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO TARGET!!!

I was consumed with laughter and tears at the same time.

    Wow... least the 4 year old knows whats up! :) This year we asked the kids if Santa could give us money to take a trip to Florida instead of giving them presents and they all agreed :) Florida here we come! Nice way to trade consumerism for memories :)
