  1. Aha! So Reagan and Obama are BOTH communists! The rug has been pulled out from under me. Now who will I be able to turn to for comfort?

  3. And both Reagan and Obama lowered, or extended lower taxes for the rich.

    Beautiful.

  4. Whoever remembered Reagan's statement, dug up that old clip and put this video together should get a gold star by his or her name for the year.

Now, if we could just tie Eric Cantor in a chair in front of a TV running this video in a loop for about 24 hours, maybe he'd get a clue. :)

  5. This is so freaking funny. When Ronnie Raygun was around you guys hated his guts more than George W. Dick Cheney, and the Koch brothers combined .

You have of course twisted what Reagan meant to meet your own ends . Reagan lowered rates so that loop holes were no longer needed. Obama wishes to raise taxes on the producers, close loopholes and then put surtaxes on them . And he thinks that will help the economy. What a dunce.

What Reagan did worked. It worked. Everything Obama does for the economy fails.

  6. Actually, Reagan raised taxes 11 times during his 8 years. What Reagan did worked...sort of. He grew the economy better than any other republican since 1929, but he was only number 5. Four democrats did better.

  7. And lest we forget, Reagan took the US from being a creditor nation to a debtor nation.

  8. And lest we forget, President Ronald Reagan took the country from high inflation, low economic, growth, and a weak Military and rebuilt it from the ground up . And that with Tip O'Neil screwing him the whole time.

Barak Hussein Obama had two years of Pelosi and Reid helping him before Republicans could even slow him down.

And how much debt has Obama the not too Bright, run up ? How many schools and bridges and teachers jobs could the Solyndra money have saved ?

  9. What Reagan did set the country up for the stagflation and high unemployment that did so much to make Bush 41 a one-term president.

(Ya live large politically by the voodoo economics, ya crash big time by the voodoo economics. Turns out it was a thousand points of blight.)

Re: Dave's very pertinent comment. It was also during Reagan's presidency that we started down the heavily mined road of free trade and began racking up annual trade deficits.

  10. I remember that clip from back then. It disappeared and Reagan's handlers tripped all over themselves trying to spin it into something else. I don;t think they ever let Reagan speak without a script again.

Good job finding this one Jerry.

  11. I have seen this video on several sites, as it should be. It is the best thing since The Game with Michael Douglas.

  12. "And lest we forget, President Ronald Reagan took the country from high inflation, low economic, growth, and a weak Military and rebuilt it from the ground up . And that with Tip O'Neil screwing him the whole time."

You mean the Ronald Reagan presidency when hundreds of Marines were killed in Lebanon and Pres. Reagan pledged to stay in Lebanon, and lethen left less than 4 months later? That Ronald Reagan?

You mean the Ronald Reagan who said that the Civil Rights Act was an "insult" to the south? That Ronald Reagan?

The President Ronald Reagan of the Iran-Contra scandal? When he said he couldn't remember being involved in it but it must have happened on his watch because everyone else said it did? Oh yeah, that Reagan.

I laugh at the GOPers to like to claim the Dems call Mr. Obama The One or the Messiah. We never did, it was the GOPers who did that. But the GOPers fail to understand how much hero worshipping they've invested in Saint Ronnie, whose feet were made of clay, right up to his chin.

  13. His brain wasn't so sharp either, Shaw.

  14. Reagan, Obama, etc. - they're ALL mixed bags. We shouldn't be "worshiping" any of them.

  15. I am just sick of people claiming Reagan could remember stuff!

  16. This must be the clip my brother-in-law said aired on Al Sharpton's MSNBC show. Even when it's concrete evidence that President Obama and Reagan were in agreement, the Reaganites still turn on the spin cycle.

I'll be posting this on my Facebook page.
