How Republicans Argue

  1. Jerry, if your point is that Republicans are more illogical than Democrats, sure, I can buy into that (supply-side economics, preemptive wars, an uncompromising posture on illegal immigration, etc.). But, if your point is that Republicans are ALWAYS illogical and that Democrats are ALWAYS logical, I'm sorry, but I've lived far too many years and studied far too much history to concur with that one. From FDR's NRA (which was voted down as unconstitutional, 9-0, and which was criticized by none other than John Maynard Keynes) to Obama's so-called surge in Afghanistan, the Democrats have had more than a few of their own clunkers throughout. I mean, I hate to constantly throw this lesser of 2 evils thing at you, but that's in fact how I kinda feel.

  2. Neither side is ALWAYS one way or the other, Will. But, if you look at the current crop of competitors, the crazy scales are definitely tilted to one side.

  4. I think that headline you're giving Republicans a lot of undeserved credit.

  6. That cartoon sums up the Republican M.O. Pausing to think, using logic instead of kneejerk reflexes -- those are the telltale signs of a treehugging moonbat who hates America.
