Credit Limits

Like most people, I have several credit cards. One of them just lowered my credit limit because I was not using the card enough. They cut the limit in about half. Even with the lower limit, I still only use about 10% of it each month, so it does not create a problem for me.

They make it sound like it is a benefit to me. The letter said that they were adjusting my credit limit to be more in line with my spending habits. Like they really care. They just want to free up some credit so they can give it to someone else that will use it.

It is all about making money. If the credit is not used, they don't make money.

Silly me. I thought the excessive use of credit was one of the things that got us into this economic mess in the first place.

  1. Wow, I've never heard of that happening. Wouldn't they want you to have the option to spend more money? Weird.

Should I give them your name?
