Why am I not surprised?
Guess who is making a ton of money off the x-ray scanners? My friend and yours, Michael Chertoff, ex-Homeland Security Chief who is a big supporter of naked scanning and happens to be making a ton of money from one of the main x-ray scanner manufacturers, Rapiscan, made by OSI, a client of Chertoff's consulting firm.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jerry. I'm researching a post on this myself, because the buzz I hear is that that Chertoff, aka Skelator, had ties to OSI while he was pushing the technology as National Security Director under Texas Torquemada.

I think I saw a photo a day or so ago about someone who looked like he was really enjoying his job. Not really looking forward to my next flight, I must say.

ReplyDeleteI'm just a dumb old musician but I can't figure out why they couldn't use a type of Ultra sound to detect foreign objects. Without the jelly of course. I mean they can detect shit in the ground.
ReplyDeleteProbably more money to be made with the x-ray machines -- and they won't even detect C4 stuffed up your butt, just like they don't detect drugs or diamonds and we know how much of that stuff is smuggled into the US all the time.
