Man who led Sen. John McCain's presidential-campaign office in Pueblo arrested for child molestation
Seriously, I think I prefer tax cheats to child molesters, but why do I have to choose? This kind of stuff really pisses me off. Is our political process so corrupted that good people cannot progress in it to the point where they reach national prominence? Even religious leaders -- look at the ones who have been brought down by sex scandals -- scandals involving the very things they preach against. And it is not only the lunatic religious right, but also the mainstream Catholic church with their child-abusing priests and the cover-up of it.Enough ranting. I'm sorry. I was planning a happier and hopefully more entertaining post, but the above article just got me pissed off. And I've been in kind of a pissy mood lately anyway. I have to get two teeth pulled on Thursday and I am not looking forward to it.
I will try to do better next time.
That is horrible. I would say this is much worse than cheating on taxes.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your dental adventures won't be too bad. They usually give good drugs, don't they? :)
I'll take the tax-cheating any day too. This is vomitous... but karma will get him.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that we have such poor choices, having more honest men and women to choose from would be nice.
ReplyDeleteAs a victim myself, than survivor and now in Recovery of such a crime...... it is very damaging to a child.
ReplyDeleteIt is not something that even as adult that you can simply forget.
It lets you know the world is an unsafe place..... yet to survive and than recover you are also blessed with a high level of empathy to others.
You can either be miserable or else look for the BEST in others and thrive happily and successfully. And be kind to others each day.
It is NOT something that is permanently healed.
No every day you have to wake up and remember and make the deliberate choice to thrive and focus on the good in other people.
It is horrific senseless act against the very innocent. (can not even compare a tax cheater to someone that does this vile act in the same sentence)
(hugs)
