  2. Great cartoon, too. I've been saying that for years and have done posts about it.

Like so many things in politics any more, how do you make things better when so many people make keep making choices that go against common sense and their own best interest?

  3. Campaign finance reform -- not term limits. That's the way to get rid of bad politicans. Why throw out the good ones along with the bad ones?

  4. Absolutely, w-d. Term limits is an ignorant way to get rid of politicians. All you end up with is an inexperienced bunch of individuals easily manipulated by moneyed interests.

Wait! That's just what the republicans want.

Actually, while we are at it lets just work on getting corporations out of government altogether...

  6. Public financing of elections is one of my "solutions"....Yeah, it might end up costing us a couple billion a year or so, but, still, how in the hell else do we get the dirty money out?

  7. I think we would SAVE billions Will. If the politicians weren't beholden to the corporations that financed their elections then we wouldn't have so much legislation written to benefit them (the corporations).

  8. You're absolutely right. And I can't think of a better way to rid D.C of its blood-suckers.
